A FATHER and daughter who both worked at York railway station returned to a special event organised by the National Railway Museum.
Reg Pulleyn and Lesley Dixon between them worked on the railways from the Second World War until the 1980s.
After a tour of the station, they were allowed to make a station announcement and were asked to relate anecdotes of their time at the station.
Their memories will contribute to the transformation of Station Hall into a place where visitors can explore 24 hours in the life of a large station.
In sharing their memories they hope to encourage more people to contribute to the National Railway Museum’s Station Stories project, part of the York 800 project.
