A MAN suffered a broken jaw and two other people were injured in an attack in York.
Two men – a 35-year-old from York and a 36-year-old from Whitley Bay – have been arrested over the incident which happened in the Swinegate and Grape Lane area.
Two men and a woman had a verbal altercation with two other men and were then assaulted, police say.
A 24-year-old man from Huddersfield suffered a broken jaw.
A man and woman with him were also assaulted, but did not need medical treatment.
The attack happened shortly after midnight on July 3, but was made public by police only yesterday.
The arrested men have been released on bail.
