AN INDEPENDENT school in York is set to expand after plans to buy a neighbouring building were approved.
Bootham School is looking to take over Bootham House once York and District Deaf Society moves out and use it for additional boarding accommodation and teaching space.
The scheme has now been given the go-ahead by City of York Council. The building is listed and dates back to the 18th Century.
