Did you meet my friend Dominic from New York on the train?
I just had lunch with one of my oldest friends and he talked non-stop about a lovely lady from Raleigh, North Carolina, whom he met with her son on the train up to York last Tuesday.
He is kicking himself for not asking for your phone number so Susan, if you and your son Gideon are still in York visiting your father and you read this, please can you contact me through the letters editor of this great newspaper?
