THE owner of the business where Jordan worked as a travel consultant has also added to the tributes.
Paul Smith, of Quartz Travel, described Jordan as a “rising superstar” and said he and his team had been left “heartbroken” by the news.
In tribute to Jordan, Mr Smith and Jordan’s colleague, Mauricio Rodriguez, threw 19 long-stemmed roses, to symbolise Jordan’s age and that he went missing on Valentine’s Day, near the point of the river where Jordan’s body was found.
“We thought it would be a nice thing to do,” said Mr Smith.
“The news has been heart wrenching, absolutely heart wrenching. He was such a young thing – an absolute superstar in all our lives.
“We are all deeply saddened and shocked.
“We kept on hoping and hoping that he would be found safe and well and we are all heartbroken by the news.
“We can just not yet come to terms with it. He was just so likeable and popular; an essential part of the team. He was a special, special person.”
Meanwhile, the father of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence, sent his condolences to Jordan’s family.
Martin Dales, friend and spokesman for Peter Lawrence, said: “Peter is deeply saddened to hear of the discovery of Jordan’s body and would like his family to know that they are very much in his thoughts and prayers at this distressing time after such a tragic loss of so young a life.”
