MORE than 80 people have taken part in a zumba and bokwa fitness event to raise funds for seriously ill Thomas Cammack.

The parents of four-year-old Thomas, from Selby, are desperately trying to raise the £500,000 needed for vital cancer treatment in the USA.

The event, which raised more than £2,500, took place at Westfield Primary School in Acomb and was hosted by zumba instructor Tanya Adamson and seven other instructors who put people of all ages through their paces.

Duo Distracted opened the event by singing their song for Thomas, called Shining.

Tanya said: “There was a really great atmosphere and it was such an amazing day for everyone involved. It was a great success.”

Thomas is currently undergoing daily doses of anti-cancer treatment. His parents, Toni Wood and Richard Cammack, have so far raised more than £40,000.
