BIG-HITTING displays were produced in a barnstorming show by a brace of York Amateur Boxing Club’s upcoming prospects at the Barnsley Metrodome.
Welterweight Joe Buckle took out home-based opponent Sam Hunter with his fourth knockout in as many fights.
Hunter had 16 bouts to his name, and had stopped his previous three foes.
But Buckle’s superior punching power yielded another emphatic win.
Club-mate and super-heavyweight Sam Cade also toppled home hope Sean Gamble.
Said YBC head coach Billy Wilson: “Both were excellent performances and so far it means the club have suffered only two losses this year, the last being in early January.”
