FRIENDS and family of a Selby biker who has died at the age of 63 rode through the town to bid him a final farewell before his funeral at a packed Selby Abbey.
The coffin of Bob Robinson, who recently lost his battle against cancer, was taken from his home near Abbey Road in a motorcycle hearse, accompanied by his widow, Angie.
The procession also included members of the Selby-based Moving Targets Scooter Club, who turned out to join the bikers yesterday morning.
Mr Robinson was a worker at British Gypsum, in Sherburn-in-Elmet, until his retirement.
As well as being keen a motorcyclist, Mr Robinson was also a lover of cricket, playing for Barlby and later Thorpe Willoughby.
His burial took place at Selby Cemetery later yesterday.
