A cheque for £1,259 is presented to the William Rhodes Appeal after a fundraising night at Tramways
A JOHN Smith’s Ladies Darts League charity fundraising night at Tramways raised £1,259 for the William Rhodes Appeal.
Three-year-old William, from Holgate, suffers from a rare form of anaemia.
Pat Bowness, league secretary, said: “I was overwhelmed at the support and generosity of the players and members who attended.”
The night included a quiz, raffle and bingo, plus a stint from Doncaster’s Si Ward.
The appeal fund will be further boosted by an event at Cueball on Friday.
Competition secretary Tina Platt and her family will be taking on members of the Cueball darts team at darts and pool.
