Through the good offices of The Press, may I please inform those motorists using the Acomb Front Street shopping facilities and, in doing so, daily/hourly abusing the three disabled parking bays, that these clearly marked bays are not drive-in eating bays, a car park for users of Lloyds Bank cashpoint or a medical aid for those persons suffering from that ever-growing condition, Selfish Lazyitos.
These three bays, plus two higher up near the Acomb shops are continually filled by non-blue badgers, and individuals using the badge of a relative — as are all the double yellow line areas.
So please wake up City of York Council and the community police officers and start using your powers to issue parking tickets to these selfish individuals. You are missing out on a regular souirce of income.
Liz Edge, Parkside Close, York.
