WOULD-BE chefs are set to cook up a storm to boost funds for the Lord Mayor of York’s charities.
Students at York College have organised a gourmet tasting evening which is the latest in a series of fundraising activities being staged during Coun David Horton’s year as Lord Mayor.
The Gourmet Night, in the Ashfield Restaurant at York College, will be held on Friday.
The students, all of whom will be giving up their own time, will prepare and serve a four course gourmet meal with matching wines for each course.
Tickets, which are £25 each and include canapés, are available from York Guildhall on 01904 551011.
