A WALK around Badger Hill recently revealed many recycling boxes/bins littering paths and verges the day after these receptacles had been emptied. This is commonplace.
When this system was introduced the council threatened action against householders who failed to remove the containers on the same day after collection.
As with the well-documented car parking and other issues, this council seemingly overlooks this mainly student-led problem while remaining totally ambivalent to the wishes of the residents.
I would appreciate it if the council could confirm my understanding of the refuse collection system and timings for the removal of empty containers and why, if the aforementioned is correct, has the problem not been monitored and eliminated, not just in this area but York in general.
