A YORK village is on the look-out for land to transform into allotments.
After a four-year search, Elvington Community Allotment Association is appealing to Press readers for help.
With more than 30 families signed up for the proposed allotments, the association is looking for 1.5 acres of land to lease.
Joanne Wedgwood, chairman of the association, said: “We secured some land in 2010, but City of York Council rejected the planning permission, so we are back to square one. ”
If you can help, phone Joanne on 07786960480.
