THE mother of the bride-to-be who has won her wedding courtesy of The Press has been to choose her outfit for the big day.
Acomb couple Michelle Stannard and Adrian Elliott won more votes than 20 other entrants to win the all-inclusive Win A Wedding competition complete with venue, catering, outfits and more.
As part of their ongoing preparations for the event in April, Michelle and her mother Ann Bell visited Forevermore Bridalwear in Hemingbrough, near Selby.
They met with its owner Lynda Hatton in the shop’s bridal lounge to find and order a bespoke dress and jacket in taupe. Lynda said: “They were quite surprised at everything I had and the presentation of the shop. It was something that looked really nice on her. I think she was really pleased.”
Michelle said they had been delighted with the help they received at the shop. She said: “Lynda made my mum feel really comfortable. She gave her a lot of advice and she will look fantastic.”
