FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car fire in Sherburn-in-Elmet in the early hours of Wednesday.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokeswoman said a crew from Tadcaster was sent to the scene in Kirkgate, at about 2.20am, after a Subaru was deliberately set on fire.
The spokeswoman said the vehicle was completely destroyed in the blaze, but nobody was injured.
