GIRL Guides held a “thinking day” to celebrate the anniversary of the birthdays of the founders of Scouting and Guiding.
The event on Wednesday was held to mark the birthdays of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell and the youngsters learned how guiding is now a global organisation across 145 countries.
About 200 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section marked the occasion with an international street market at Huntington School.
The girls enjoyed crafts and activities from across the globe and had the opportunity to use Sky-pe to engage in some badge swapping 2012-style.
The event finished with an African drumming workshop.
