THE free wi-fi zone in St Helen’s Square and Coney Street could be extended to cover the entire area within the city walls after it was used one million times following its launch on November 14.
City of York Council has launched a consultation on the proposed extension.
Coun Julie Gunnell, corporate services cabinet member, said: “We are particularly interested in knowing your experiences of using the wi-fi zone including how easy you found it to use and whether an extended city centre wi-fi area would be useful to you.”
