AN EAST Yorkshire man died after his car crashed into a field beside the M62.
Police said the man, who was in his 40s, was found after his silver Ford Mondeo Estate left the motorway near Howden and went down an embankment shortly after 1am yesterday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man has not yet been named.
Stretches of the eastbound and westbound carriageway were shut as police investigators began examining the scene.
Any witnesses are asked to phone Humberside Police on 101.
