SILVERWARE is already in the Lady Lumley's School locker after the Under-12s boys' football team won their area and district cup final by beating hosts Scarborough 6-4 in extra time.
The key to the triumph was the creativity of Sam Asquith in midfield and he was one of the victors' scorers alongside Matty Allison (2), Jack Riley, Eddie Cass and Jon Trowsdale.
Lady Lumley's U15s, meanwhile, got their campaign off to a flier with a 3-1 win over neighbours Malton School.
Tyron Midgley opened the scoring after a goalmouth scramble and, following a superb individual equaliser, Lady Lumley's took control with a brace from James Darwell, his second after fine work by Luke Hobbs. Josh Turner was the man of the match.
