People are invited to slip on a pair of dancing shoes and get moving at a charity Zumbathon.
The event, organised by Zumba teacher and enthusiast Debbie Beat of, Millfield Fitness, along with Black Diamond Health UK, is to raise money for St Leonard’s Hospice and Breast Cancer Care.
Janet Morley, director of fundraising at the hospice, said: “We are very grateful to Debbie and her colleague for organising this special charity Zumbathon, which is sure to be very popular.”
Zumba combines dance and aerobics, as well as elements of hip-hop, samba, salsa, meringue and mambo, martial arts, Bollywood and belly dance moves.
The two-hour workout starts at 4pm, on Saturday, October 8, at Energise, Cornlands Road, York. Tickets cost £10 and should be purchased in advance from blackdiamondhealthuk.com
