DINERS at an Indian restaurant helped raise money for the intensive care unit at York Hospital as part of a special fundraising night.
Masterchef finalist Sara Danesin Medio, who used to work in the intensive care unit, took part in the event at the Bengal Brasserie, in York, and went along when the cheque was presented to the hospital.
Italian-born Sara, who quit her job as an intensive care nurse to forge a career out of cooking, was one of the chefs on the night and prepared a special pudding.
