A FIRE caused by a faulty bathroom fan caused damage in Dovecoat Garth, Elvington. The fire started in an en-suite bathroom at about 3.35pm on Friday.
A bedroom also suffered smoke damage, and a downstairs room suffered water damage in the incident, which a spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire Service said was caused by an electrical fault in the fan.
Nobody was injured.
