A TEENAGE dance student from York has been given a right royal makeover – after being named the city’s best Kate Middleton lookalike.
Victoria South, 18, of the Tadcaster Road area, won a competition run between The Press and the York Designer Outlet to mark the Royal Wedding, aimed at finding the York girl with the greatest resemblance to the Duchess of Cambridge.
Victoria, who is studying at a Warrington dance school, got a taste of Kate’s style through a free consultation at the LK Bennett store, under the guidance of the centre’s personal stylist, Alison Rockett.
Victoria also won £250 in shopping vouchers to spend at the outlet. She said: “It’s a new look for me, but I really like Kate’s style.
“My friends and some of my family had said they thought I looked a bit like her, so my mum thought she’d put my picture in and I’ve really enjoyed the day.”
Alison said: “We’ve had lots of calls from people wanting to know how they can get Kate’s look, so we’re glad we’ve found somebody like Victoria, who looks like her, to show off that style.”
