TEAMS entering York’s Dragon Boat Challenge, organised by York Rotary Club, expect to raise about £70,000.
Thirty-two different charities were supported by the 36 teams which entered the races on Saturday.
The club also sold £5,000 lucky number programmes to win prizes donated by sponsors.
The first prize of four first-class rail tickets for the East Coast rail network went to the winning programme number 3742.
The second prize, donated by York Archaeological Trust, was a family ticket for four to Jorvik, the DIG, Barley Hall and Micklegate Bar Museum, won by programme number 1783.
Winners should contact David Thompson thompson_1@btconnect.com, or phone 01904 611522.
