What has happened to a once proud industrious country?

Not content with giving away our tax money to other countries, the Government now gives away our industry orders, thus planting another nail in the British workforce (Letters, July 7, on train maker Bombardier losing out to German group Siemens on a Thameslink contract).

Why are we doing this?

When the country is practically on its knees, we are only in Libya because of oil. This is costing a fortune, when we are having to cut back on everything, losing jobs, strikes, lay-offs.

If the Prime Minister has this much money to waste/give away, then use it to prop up our own economy.
