POLICE investigating an unprovoked attack in a Harrogate nightclub, in which a York man’s tooth was knocked out, have asked for the public’s help.
Officers looking into the incident, have released a new CCTV image of a man they believe attacked the 20-year-old man in Moko Lounge, King’s Road, Harrogate.
The victim was taken to York Hospital, where he was given three stitches to a wound on the inside of his lip, and also received treatment for bruising and swelling to his face.
Since the attack, officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from inside the club and the surrounding area, and have now asked for the public’s help to identify the suspect.
PC Chris Spackman, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “This was a nasty attack which appears to have been unprovoked.
“We have managed to obtain a very clear image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident and I am hopeful that someone will recognise him and let us know who he is.”
Anyone with information on the individual in the picture, or who witnessed the incident, which occurred at about 2.30am on Sunday, March 27, should contact Harrogate police on 0845 6060247, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
