I HAVE just spent several days in York Hospital on Ward 29. My stay there was very pleasant, due to the very hard working nurses; they all worked together and created a special atmosphere.
Special thanks to a very considerate and likeable young surgeon, Mr S Boyle, and his team for a successful outcome for my replacement shoulder. Thank you all.

• AFTER reading some bad press about York Hospital, I would like to mention the excellent care and attention given to me after been told I had cancer in March, 2010.
The staff and doctors were excellent, and after two operations and chemotherapy I was told I was clear. The staff on the cancer care unit are so dedicated and caring they need more recognition for the excellent work they do.
