CHARITIES big and small should make the most of a new texting service that enables them to raise money at no cost, Malton MP Anne McIntosh has said.
She was promoting the JustTextGiving service just launched by Vodafone.
Under it, charities get a six-digit text code which enables donations of up to £10 per message to be sent to them. She said: “I would encourage all UK registered charities in Thirsk, Malton and Filey to take advantage of this service.
“It is great news that this service, which has in the past only been available to a limited number of large charities, can now be used by charities of all sizes and individuals too.”
