POLICE were last night questioning a 51-year-old woman after a 24-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach.
The man was found in Burton Stone Lane shortly after 2am yesterday and taken to York Hospital for treatment. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police were responding to a call to deal with an incident in one of the houses on the street. The woman was arrested at the scene and held in custody for the rest of the day.
Detectives appealed for anyone with information about the stabbing to phone York police on 0845 6060247.
