I HAVE just read Tom Mitchell’s letter (The Press, March 29) about the recent TUC march in London, and his assertion that there was not a ‘bleep’ from Ed Miliband about the “silly people” causing some violence.
In fact, Ed Miliband declared, on the evening that the march took place: “Hundreds of thousands of people peacefully protested today. They are the true voice of today’s march. I unequivocally condemn those who have committed acts of violence. There is no excuse for it. It is unlawful and wrong.”
Mr Mitchell should check his facts before making unsubstantiated statements.
