THIRSK and Sewerby Harriers competed in the re-arranged Jolly Holly Jog 10k run, which was postponed from December.

Conditions were fare more benign but the course, organised by Ripon Runners, proved as difficult as ever for the 240 runners.

Rob Burn finished in 23rd place in 41minutes and 39 seconds to also earn the prize for the first M50 finisher.

Other Harriers times and places were: Les Sutton-Haigh came 62nd in 44-54, Keziah Paxton 63rd, and seventh lady, in 46-15, Ken Evitt, struggling with injury, 111th in 51-53, Nik Sutton-Haigh 136th in 54-00, Yvonne Wood 164th in 57-36, Ian Codling 198th in 63-11, Cath Lumb 209th in 66-07 and Marian Codling 227th in 71.14.

New club member Miles Bradshaw, entering as an unattached runner, finished 932nd in the Liverpool half-marathon in a time of one hour 37-46.
