A MAGNIFICENT group of seven York students have raised £700 running 20 miles from Acomb to Tadcaster for Help For Heroes.
The seven boys, aged from 15-17, from York College, York High School and Millthorpe School took on the challenge to raise money for soldiers in Afghanistan.
Paul Mountain-Larner, 16, who goes to York College, said: “The walk went well, it was hard and my feet are still hurting now. But the money we’ve raised will go to soldiers in Afghanistan. A lot of them are having a hard time so this money will help them have better conditions in their barracks. I think it’s important they have better living conditions.”
