WE ARE hearing so much about the new system for voting that no one seems to understand fully plus the financial cost of recounting votes time and time again.
With the census, we were informed if we did not fill in the form we would be prosecuted. So why not bring in a law that is prevalent in a lot of countries and make it illegal not to cast your vote at a general election?
This Government, like many before, was voted in by a majority that only represents between 30 and 40 per cent of the electorate, yet 99 per cent of the populace say they don’t know how to run a country; with 100 per cent of the populace made to vote, only the most popular party would take on the office and no one could complain about the outcome.
