HAVING walked and driven into York via Micklegate Bar, I have noticed on several occasions a crop of orange wheelie bins locating themselves against either the side of this historic gateway or directly behind it.
Who do these bins belong to?
It does not give a good impression to visitors to the city and in these times of financial hardship, we need to promote York as a tourist city to bring in much-needed cash to the city’s economy.
We need to respect our history and ask why the city council has not acted against whoever it is that leaves these bins there.
