I LIVE on Salisbury Terrace and on walking home from work recently I was pleased to notice that the council had delivered new supplies of bin bags to each home on the estate.
Whether this is the best way to spend limited funds I am not sure, but that’s another issue.
On looking closer further down the road, I was appalled to notice that while delivering these bags to encourage residents to be tidier with their refuse, the council staff making the delivery had dumped the cardboard boxes containing the supplies on the pavement of our estate.
Surely that cannot comply with the council’s green policies?
