I agree with quite a lot of what Dennis Barton says (Letters, March 22), but I would like to add my twopenn’oth as an opponent of Alternative Voting (AV).
Over the last 50 years I have only had the opportunity to vote for two people with the integrity to merit my vote. How on earth am I going to find two or even three to vote for on the same ballot paper?
Mr Barton said we will not see another scandal of greed.
That doesn’t read right – is it what he actually said? If so, then I disagree.
MPs are already agitating about having to keep to the rules and as we have seen over the years with regard to their pay, they can vote in what they like!
