TALKING of children - congratulations to all our thousands of students who have done so well in their GCSEs.
Earlier this week, we reported shocking figures which revealed that a teacher is physically assaulted in a York school almost every day.
As today's exam results prove, however, that is only a tiny and unrepresentative part of what is going on in our schools. The vast majority of our children are buckling down and studying hard.
Today, many of them reaped the rewards. Well done.
