LAST week while I was walking around York, I noticed the flower baskets hanging up near the Mansion House. What a great display of flowers!
I took several photos of them, so if Mr Quarrie (Where have all the flowers gone?, readers' letters, August 14) would like me to send him a set of photos, I will do so.
As I was walking down Davygate a horse and carriage went by. Visitors were on board. A great sight, until the horse deposited a load of manure on to the road.
Several people stepped into the manure and they were disgusted. York is a clean place, so let's keep it that way.
