ROCKERS will take to the stage in York on Friday to raise hundreds of pounds for the battle against cancer. A gig in aid of York Against Cancer is being organised at The Junction pub in Leeman Road by Paul Cunniff, owner of Acomb Music.
"I'm hoping to raise £500," said Paul, who has lost family members to the disease over the last few years.
"Three bands will be playing, the rock bands Angel Bass and Megawatt Winged Avenger, and Lowground, a more chilled out acoustic style band."
The gig starts at 8pm, with tickets costing £5 in advance from Acomb Music, and £6 on the door.
