White lining and road markings will be renewed on a 7km stretch of the A64 Barton and Whitwell Bypass over the next two weeks.
Work will be carried out in sections overnight, between 8pm and 6am and where work is taking place, the carriageway will be reduced to a single lane.
There will be a 40mph speed limit in place.
Minor delays are possible.
