PACK'S Lee Carter prevented York Knavesmire Racing Darts League division one leaders Mitre from a clean sweep with a fine 21-darter.

Mitre ran out 8-1 winners with Simon Craven (21), John Quantock (21) and a maximum for 20 from Allan Galley the stars of the show.

Clifton A' player Martin Waddington had a stunning 131 finish for 21, but Stan Isaac gamed in 19 to take Palace's single point. Trev Day had earlier closed out 16 darts but a brace of 19-darters from Chris Thompson plus 18 from Steve Wade and 19 from Nick Harteveld won the match within the singles.

A 180 and 171 scores for 16 from Lutz Leutzsch, who also had a 21-darter, inspired Clifton B' to a 5-4 victory at Falcon.

Paul Innes, with a fine 18, also did well for the visitors, while Pip Hair's 19 stood out in Huntington WMC's 6-3 win against Bootham Tavern A'.

Nigel Parker (24) gained Winning Post A's only point at home to division two leaders Edward VII, who had Rich Pike out in 25, while Ebor notched their first win with Ian Gibson out in 25 against Groves WMC, who secured their aggregate point.

Shoulder of Mutton skipper Derek Hartley gamed in 22 as his team closed the gap on division three leaders Woolpack with a 6-4 win at Burton Stone A'. Saddle battled back from 2-0 down to win 7-3 at Beeswing.

Jeff Twort's 23 for Lord Nelson was not enough to stop Bootham Tavern B' from taking the win.

Mike Kearney's bull finish could not inspire Mount as they lost their match against Yearsley within the singles.

A fine 22 from Winning Post B' player Mark Chamberlain did enough to earn them the aggregate but Turf Tavern sealed the victory by taking the last two pairs games.
