ROWENA Plant writes that Serbian prisoners should be sent home and save taxpayers the cost of their incarceration (Letters, February 26).
It is easy to sympathise with this view, but who is to guarantee that sending them or others back will mean they actually serve the sentence?
Their crime was committed here and they serve their sentence here so justice is not cheated.
