THE father of missing chef Claudia Lawrence is addressing MPs in the Houses of Parliament today.
Peter Lawrence, 64, will speak to MPs and members of the House of Lords about what can be done to help the families of missing people.
Mr Lawrence has been invited to speak about the problems of dealing with the business affairs of missing people at the first meeting of the all party parliamentary group for runaway and missing children and adults.
Claudia, whose family marked her 37th birthday on Sunday, went missing two years ago. Others speakers at the meeting include the chair of the group Anne Coffey MP, Martin Houghton-Brown, Chief Executive of Missing People and Lord Timothy Boswell.
There will then be an open discussion amongst all those attending, including families with missing people, representatives from the banking, insurance and legal sectors, as well as press and other charities.
The hour-long meeting is set to start at 1.30pm.
