YOUNG people attended fun events as part of a relaunch of a youth centre in York.
Young Groves, which plans to reopen with a new look in March, held two half-term events to give young people the chance to have their say on what they want from the centre.
The centre offered taster activity sessions including a mobile skate park, graffiti art sessions, cookery, henna and fashion printing to young people aged eight to 17 years.
Organisers hope Young Groves, which is based in Lowther Street, will be a community hub where people can access information and support.
Heidi Haywood, manager at the centre, said: “The premises have great facilities, including an internet café, huge playground, games room and a gymnasium.” Young Groves, which is run by volunteers, asked visitors to help rename the centre.
