YOUNGSTERS in the Hambleton district are being offered a new route into rugby league.
Northallerton Broncos ARLC have been formed to offer junior players the chance to hone their skills in the summer months across Hambleton and Richmond.
The club will be offering free coaching sessions in schools in conjunction with Super League side Castleford Tigers, with youngsters who want to continue playing able to join the Broncos.
Club secretary Joy Carter said: “It is the only club to offer junior rugby league and the only club which gives an opportunity to play rugby of either code during the summer months in the local area.”
The club will be running junior teams at all age groups.
Training sessions will be held every week in Colburn and Northallerton, while North East Juniors League matches will be played on Saturday mornings during the summer.
Northallerton Broncos are now recruiting players of all ages and abilities.
