Bootham ‘A’ held on to top spot in the York Conservative Clubs’ Carlsberg UK snooker league despite losing 5-2 to Fulford ‘A’.

Chris Dower (36 break) won the first game only for Luke Fleet to level for Fulford.

Tim Fillingham moved Bootham ahead then Mike Walsh (56 bk), Justin Morris, Simon England and Tim Lister (24 bk) completed the victory.

Fulford ‘B’ dropped one place to third after defeating Bootham ‘B’ 4-3 but are only one point behind.

The teams were level at 3-3 after Bob Smith, Ray Thackway and Jim Rollinson won for Fulford and Chris Dawson, Paul Mahoney and Jeff Brown replied for Bootham, Tom Wilson decided the match for Fulford.

Acomb ‘B’ moved off bottom after defeating Malton ‘A’ 5-2 with wins by Keith Myers, Eric Leatt, who held off Simon Weatherill (37 bk), Brian Henry and Andy Stone.
