Leaders Heworth recovered from their 6-1 trouncing by Bootham to inflict the same score on Fulford and opened up a four-point lead in the York Conservative Clubs Slater Cup snooker pairs league.
Simon Chamberlain and Jake Stephenson won the first game for Fulford then Heworth took command to win the next five frames.
Jamie Faircliffe and Peter Hodgson held on to prevent Fulford achieving only a 4-3 defeat.
Bootham kept up the pressure on Heworth with a 5-2 win over Acomb, who were a pair short of a full team.
