A SCRAP crushing machine caught fire yesterday morning as it was being dismantled for scrap at Horwell Brothers in Mansfield Street, York.
Fire crews were called to the scrap metal merchants’ premises, just off Foss Islands Road, at about 8.40am after diesel left in the pipes caused a small fire as the machine was being dismantled.
