Pushing on problem A NEW, wider multi-lane roundabout is being built on the A19 just outside York near Skelton on the northern ring road.
Just like the £7 million bigger roundabout built last year near, where the northern and southern ring roads meet near Hopgrove, this new venture will cost millions and achieve little.
All that will happen is that the problem and vast amount of traffic will be hurried on to the next roundabout and bottleneck.
The only answer is to dual carriageway the entire northern route, which is what most of us said and knew when it was first talked about and then built too narrow.
