FED up? Yes, I am. All that fuss over the Wheel reminded me of the wartime song: “‘Wheel’ try again, don’t know where, don’t know when/ But I know ‘wheel’ try again, some sunny day.”

But it is not only the Wheel. How many committee meetings have been held to sort out new council accommodation, cycle lanes at Clifton Green, traffic lights at Blossom Street, so on and so on.

In any company, the directors would meet, make a decision. Here is me thinking some of the people on the council are company directors.

Ah, we have the answer, for every meeting council members are paid expenses. The council is short of money, so cut the total council members by two-thirds. They are doing this in the Ridings.

Even then, I will still be fed up. What about the Government, what with trees for sale, etc? Still, we could save money by not having a Parliament or a council. European bureaucrats make our laws.

• THE Wheel would provide jobs for young people. Why is it that (usually older people) cannot be more charitable towards the 16 to 24-year-old young person who desperately want to work and should be encouraged to do so?
